Idea & patron: Aayush Kishore · Co-founders: Saloni & Arushi Kishore

Good shoes should not sit unused.

We collect clean shoes, slippers, slip-ons, and new packaged socks, then pass them on to Keystone Mission.

A local collection for Keystone Mission.

Organized with help from Abington Community Library.

How this started

It began with a simple question.

What if the shoes sitting unused in our homes could still be useful to someone else? That question became Kickstart to Kindness. Aayush Kishore came up with the idea and serves as project patron. Saloni and Arushi Kishore joined him as co-founders.

Aayush has helped lead the current collection while co-founders Saloni and Arushi shape and support the project. Abington Community Library welcomed the collection box, and local families have been bringing in shoes and new packaged socks for Keystone Mission.

Our belief

If a pair is still clean and comfortable, it still has something to give.

Three simple steps

How it works

Here is what we ask each donor to do before bringing in a pair.

01

Check your closet

Choose clean footwear your family has outgrown or no longer wears.

02

Keep pairs together

Tie or band each pair together so nothing is separated during sorting.

03

Bring them in

Place the prepared pairs in the library collection box during the drive.

What we welcome

Give pairs with more miles to go.

  • Sneakers and walking shoes
  • Slippers and comfortable slip-ons
  • Children's and adult footwear
  • New shoes or clean, gently used pairs
  • New socks in unopened packages

Please leave out

Respect begins with quality.

  • × Wet, moldy, or heavily soiled footwear
  • × Shoes with broken or detached soles
  • × Single shoes without a matching pair
  • × Footwear that is unsafe to wear

What we have collected

These are the real donations so far.

This photograph shows shoes and socks brought in by local donors. We are not publishing a pair count until the collection has been sorted and the handoff is complete. The final total will be added here after the drive.
